Opportunities at the Newark Arts Alliance

Upcoming Exhibitions
We have several juried, themed exhibitions throughout the year. Any interested artists may submit works to these shows for possible inclusion. The non-refundable submission fees are $5 for NAA Members and $10 for non-members, per work. Our 2018 exhibition schedule will be available soon!

Gallery Shop
You can drop off work for the Newark Arts Alliance Gallery Shop anytime during regular hours! While the full committee meets the first Monday of the month, the committee is often able to put out new work more often. Please make sure your Newark Arts Alliance Membership is current. The shop only sells works for NAA Members.  Click here to join today!

Art Loop
The Newark Arts Alliance organizes a changing display of art and jewelry in local businesses around Newark. Contact Pamela Skwish, Program Coordinator, at pskwish@yahoo.com for more information on how you can participate in this opportunity.

Opportunities Around Our Community

The Morris ArboretumTime in the Garden
The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania will be staging both indoor and outdoor Time in the Garden exhibits in 2018. Artists are invited to interpret this theme either by creating a piece to be installed on the grounds of the 92 acre public garden, or as a hanging piece in the Upper Gallery of the Visitor Center.

A minimum stipend of $250 will be granted to each participating artist. Artists who choose to create a large scale piece, or work in collaboration with others, may apply for additional funds.

A letter of interest is due by February 1, 2018. Selections will be made by February 14.

Download the Call for Artists flyer for more information about the exhibition. Contact Michelle Conners at 215-247-5777 x109 or mconners@upenn.edu with any questions you may have.
