Art to Go … go … go … go … GO!

The NAA’s Art to Go program sponsors free art projects for children at local parks, community and daycare centers, schools, and anywhere kids are gathered. That’s one of the ways we bring our slogan alive and “develop community through the arts”!

From April through December, Art to Go was involved in 13 projects, with overall participation totaling 325. Of course, some of the youngsters were involved in more than one project, but that number gives you some idea of the art experiences this program made available to children in Newark and nearby.

The support of the City of Newark thorough its revenue sharing funds got the program started. Additional funding received from New Castle County and The Brandywiners, Ltd., allowed projects to take place outside the city.

The NAA is currently seeking additional funds to support spring Art to Go projects. Interested in finding out when and where Art to Go classes will pop up next? Send your e-mail address to the NAA at info@newarkartsalliance.org and we’ll put you on the mailing list.
