The NAA is sponsoring a national, juried, all-media show of artwork that
"defines the state of mind of a specific personality/identity at a
particular space and time." This exhibit runs from September 5-October 11 at the Newark Arts Alliance in Newark, DE.

An exhibit of photography by Elisabeth Bard
Opening reception: Friday, June 13, 7-9 p.m.

“I am in search of the images that have a quiet, meditative quality, simple gifts to soothe our souls,“ says Elisabeth Bard. The artist studied fine art and photography at Hiram College (OH). She worked first as a photographer, then as a graphic artist. Bard has 20 years of experience as a designer and illustrator.

Photography is now the main outlet for her creativity, and she concentrates on landscapes, doors, windows, and floral images. She also creates more abstract images.

Bard has exhibited her work locally and has won first place awards in the Cecil County, Havre de Grace, and Bel Air art festivals. She is a member of the Photographic Society of Delaware and several area arts organizations, including the NAA and the Art Lane Photo Critique Group.

NAA Exhibition Gallery Guidelines

For juried shows, artists may submit up to three pieces. The submission fee is $5 per artwork. This charge supports promotional and other costs associated with the exhibit.If the fee prohibits you from participating, please write to the Main Gallery Committee and request a waiver. On each submission, please include a label with your name, the title of the work, the medium (acrylic, raku, computer scan, etc), your phone number and email address, and a selling price, if applicable. (Work may be marked NFS.)

Commission on sales to the NAA is 20% for working members (at least four volunteer hours per month), 30% for non-working members, and 40% for non-members.

All 2-D work must have a hanging wire on the back and must be framed in keeping with professional standards (no dirty mats, damaged glass, chipped frames, etc.)
