NAA members: Get your work in the Gallery Shop!
The opportunity to show and sell work in the Gallery Shop at the Newark Arts Alliance is one of the benefits of NAA membership. All types of artwork are welcome: paintings, pottery, cards and postcards, jewelry, sculpture, and much more.

HOW TO EXHIBIT YOUR WORK

ELIGIBILITY: Current membership in the Newark Arts Alliance. All media considered.

TO QUALIFY, SUBMITTED WORK MUST BE:
• For sale.
• Ready to display. (All 2-D work must be framed, with picture wire for hanging, or mounted, matted & covered with acetate. Unframed flat art should not exceed 24” in any dimension.)
• Labeled with artist’s name, title of work, code number of work, media, and price. (Code numbers of work should be artist’s initials and a number, e. g. CS-1,CS-2, etc. Check Members’ Gallery Binder to ensure no two artists use the same initials.)

TO SUBMIT WORK: Drop off work during regular hours. With the assistance of the gallery monitor, complete a green Artist’s Inventory Sheet from the pink Members Gallery binder and place the entries and the Inventory sheet in the storeroom off the kitchen.

ALL WORK WILL BE JURIED during the fourth week of each month.

JURY CRITERIA:
• Originality (no kits or copies)
• Well-crafted, skillful execution
• Professional presentation

DISPLAY TERMS: Accepted work will be displayed for one to three months. Artists will be notified if work has not been accepted or has been removed from display. Artists must pick up work promptly after notification. Work left more than one month after first notification may be considered donated to the Arts Alliance.

COMMISSIONS & PAYMENT:

• Non-working members
 Sales will be divided at 30% to the Arts Alliance, 70% to the artist.
• Working members
Sales will be divided at 20% to the Arts Alliance, 80% to the artist.
Working members must volunteer at least 4 hours per month while exhibiting.

Payment checks will be mailed out within thirty days of sales with a statement.

If volunteer hours have not been logged by that time, payment will be made at the non-working rate.
