The NAA is affiliated member of United Way. If your employer encourages donations through payroll deductions, you can designate us as the charity of your choice by writing in our organization number, which is 9533 and is listed under “Newark Arts Alliance.” We appreciate your consideration! We’ve gotten a couple of donations amounting to $200 recently, so we know this works!

NAA President named DPS Fellow

Jeff Smith, who has filled many roles in the NAA and is the organization’s current President, has been named a Fellow of the Delaware Photographic Society. Fellow status is awarded to those who have held many major positions in DPS and contributed significantly to the betterment of the society, usually over a 20-year period, and have also demonstrated excellence in photography.

Two other DPS members, Bob Coffey of Kennett Square and Karl Leck of Chadds Ford, were also named Fellows this year.

Smith has contributed his time and expertise to DPS for nearly two decades. Smith’s tireless efforts and guidance have benefited nearly every DPS endeavor. During his two years as Vice President and three years as President, his leadership led to many new practices and equipment upgrades and additions. Smith has served as Print Director, Membership Chair, Mentor Chair, and Historian. He served as the WIEP Slide Chair and Print Chair. Smith is a major link to the community for DPS. He has increased awareness of DPS by disseminating DPS literature at community events and providing members’ photographs for numerous community exhibits.
