Art to Go is the Newark Arts Alliance’s community outreach program. Through Art to Go, we bring art projects out to the public, often to under-served populations.

Newark Community Day 2017

The Newark Arts Alliance was pleased to participate in this annual fall festival on Sunday, September 17. Community Day features family-friendly fun, including our free Art to Go project – a creative autumn tree! While we focus on offering kid-friendly projects, parents and other adults always enjoy getting in on the fun!



Clay Workshops at the Delaware School for the Deaf

In the 2016 school year, the NAA held a 6-week clay workshop at the Delaware School for the Deaf. This workshop was led by two professional clay artists, Mary Loewenstein-Anderson and Annie Smith. Students learned pinch pot, slab work, and hand-building techniques, then used what they learned to create their own unique projects.

This project was supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on
