We’re offering 18 artisan bird houses for sale as a benefit for the Newark Arts Alliance. Artists were offered a wood bird house to decorate as they chose. Some artists used their own materials to make the house. Houses were made to be used outside and are not just decorative. The houses are on display at the Newark Arts Alliance, in the main gallery from May 17 to May 21st. Starting May 21st, at 9am, guests may purchase them and take them home at the regular price. Anyone wishing to preview them from May 17 to May 20th either in person or online, can reserve a house at the “reserve price” which is higher. Payment can be made in person at the NAA starting May 17 or paid for when picked up, starting at 9am on May 21st. For buyers wishing to reserve a house when viewing online, they must email Terry at terry@newarkartsalliance.org to let her know. She will confirm that the house is still available and if it is, the buyers name will be attached to the house with a hold. The “reserve price” will then be paid at the time of pick up (starting at 9am on May 21st). Any houses not sold on the day of the Garden Tour will be offered for sale in the Members’ Gallery shop over the coming weeks. We have special hours on Garden Tour Day, 9am to 4pm.
Schedule:
May 17, Noon: Artisan House on display at the NAA and also viewable online. Houses can be held if the reserve price is offered.
May 20, 4pm: Last day all of the artisan houses will be on display at the NAA.
Saturday, May 21, 9:00am: NAA opens. Reserve houses can be picked up and paid for at any time after 9am. Guests may also start purchasing houses at the regular price and taken at that time.
After May 21: Any unsold houses will be on display in the shop at the regular prices until sold.
