SUMMARY:Gallery Store Artwork Drop Off April
DESCRIPTION:Members’ Gallery Shop Artwork Drop Off\nThe Newark Arts Alliance’s Members Gallery Shop makes it easy to sell your artwork. We handle the display and sale\, leaving you with more time to focus on creating new work! \nReview the Gallery Shop Guidelines\, complete an Inventory Form (pdf / Google Sheet) bring your items into the Newark Arts Alliance. Artists must be at least 16 years old to submit art for the shop. Artists under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their Inventory Form. \nNew works are juried when the Gallery Shop Committee meets\, typically on the first Monday of the month. Submissions of new work are due the third Saturday of each month for display the following month.\n \nAccepted work is typically displayed for up to three months. Artists will be notified if work has not been accepted or has been removed from display. Artists must pick up work promptly after notification. Work left more than 30 days after first notification will be considered a donation to benefit the Newark Arts Alliance. For additional info. about preparing your work for display and submission\, review our Gallery Shop Artists Tips. \n\n\n\n\nJury Criteria\nOriginality (no kits or copies)\, well-crafted\, skillful execution\, and professional presentation. All work must be for sale. All 2-D work must be framed with picture wire for hanging on the back\, or mounted\, matted\, and covered with acetate for display in the print rack. DESCRIPTION:The Beauty And Bounty Of Gardens \nJuror: Christina Peters\, photographer\, Newark\, DE \nShow Reception Friday\, May 2nd\, 2025 \nCelebrating amazing artwork of nature\, flowers\, and plants in coordination with the Newark Garden Tour. \nThis show will have artwork in any medium and style\, either 2D or 3D that reflects the beauty and/or bounty that gardens have to offer. \nChristina was born and raised in Newark Delaware. She has been taking pictures since she was 8 years old. After receiving her associates degree in photography from Cecil College\, she moved to Los Angeles and received her BFA in photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. \nShe went on to do commercial photography for over 30 years at her studio in Marina Del Rey\, CA. In 2020 she returned back to Newark to take care of her aging parents and has been transitioning from commercial photography to fine art photography. \nExhibition to happen April 23rd – May 16th
