Four high schools in the Newark area have been invited to choose and display a selection of two – dimensional and three-dimensional art pieces created by their grade 9 thru 12 students that reflect the students viewpoints and artistic skills in honor of National Youth Art Month, as it is celebrated in March throughout the United States.

Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to outstanding entries at a reception for the student artists, their parents and teachers on Friday March 14^th.

This show is hanging February 23rd – March 21st., 2025.

Celebrating Black History Month:

Here and Now is a show featuring contemporary Afrocentric subject matter expressed in a variety of mediums.

Jeffrey is a longtime member of the Newark Arts Alliance who frequently exhibits his abstract style paintings at NAA. This is an “Open Call” group, themed exhibition celebrating Black History and modern Afrocentric cultural imagery.

Jeffrey is a South Carolina native but currently resides and works in Wilmington Delaware. In addition to creating his abstract paintings and sculpture Jeffrey has experience as a private Chef and Classical Ballet Master.
