Come be inspired by the drawings of local artists at the Newark Arts Alliance this spring!
“A Drawing Show” is a juried, group-themed exhibition which opens on March 19th, 2024. Artwork will be on display at the Newark Arts Alliance’s new gallery (207 Louviers Drive, Newark DE) until April 26th.
The artist’s reception, which is open to the public, will be held on Friday, April 12th from 6:00-8:00 pm.
The juror for this exhibit will be book illustrator and drawing professor, Alexi Natchev. Originally from Bulgaria, Alexi has lived in Delaware for the past 30 years, working as an illustrator and specializing in children’s books for various publishers. He served as the Head of the Illustration Program and a full-time faculty member of the Delaware College of Art & Design in Wilmington, and since 2019 has been a Professor Emeritus there. Alexi had a successful Solo Exhibition of his Illustrative artwork at the Newark Arts Alliance in August of 2023.
